MADO is a renowned Turkish ice cream and pastry brand with approximately
400 outlets across Turkey and in more than 25 countries worldwide. The brand
derives its name from a combination of two words: “Maras,” the historical name
of the city Kahramanmara; where the enterprise originated, and “Dondurma,”
the traditional Turkish style of ice cream.
Originally established as an artisanal ice cream and pastry shop, MADO has
evolved into a full-service restaurant and café concept. Today, it offers a
comprehensive taste of Turkish culinary heritage, specializing in authentic
Turkish breakfasts, traditional baklava, and signature ice cream.
Founded in 1850 by Yasar Kanbur, the business expanded into a dynamic restaurant chain following its modernization in 1991. Currently operating over 400 cafes and restaurants in Turkey, MADO has established an international presence with branches in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, China, Taiwan, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Greece, Georgia, Germany, Jordan, Oman, and Morocco, among others.
